Illustration - Praia do Sonho

[ENG] Illustration based on a dream of mine. The character is pinched by a crab, but the moment and the view of dawn at the beach is so peaceful that the wound left by the animal is the last thing to care about.

The background was fully hand-painted with no layers or effects, just a mix of brushes from Krita. The colors were based on the vibe I remembered dreaming and references of dawn lighting at the beach. For the character, the first idea was for her to be crouching on the crab’s direction, but later I realized that it would show more of the story if her pinched foot was visible, so she is sitting comfortably.

[PT-BR] Ilustração baseada em um sonho que eu tive. A personagem é beliscada por um caranguejo, mas o momento e visão do amanhecer na praia é tão pacífica que a ferida deixada pelo animal é a última coisa que ela se importa.

O cenário foi pintado livremente, sem camadas ou efeitos, apenas uma mistura de pinceis do Krita. As cores foram baseadas na atmosfera que eu lembrava de sonhar e em referências à luz do amanhecer na praia. Para a personagem, a ideia inicial era que ela estivesse agachada na direção do caranguejo, mas depois percebi que mostraria mais da história se seu pé beliscado estivesse visível, para que ela estivesse sentada confortavelmente.
